Timeline for scrutinizing the qualification of volunteer candidates

1. The verification of the qualifications of volunteer candidates shall begin the next day of the application form submission deadline.
2. The Regional Election Commissioner shall convene a meeting of the members of Regional EC and supporters of volunteer candidates and give adequate time to verify the application and documents.
3. The Regional Election Commissioner shall examine the nomination form and documents one by one in the meeting and disqualify the candidate if:
   a) does not qualify to be candidate as mentioned in the law and rules
   b) the application wasn’t filed within the deadline
   c) the security money wasn’t deposited
   d) application didn’t have the original signatures of the candidate and supporters
   e) the candidate has given up the Tibetan citizenship or didn’t pay the green book contribution upto date
   f) the candidate doesn’t have faith in the Charter of Tibetans-in-exile or if he/she is proved to be working against the Tibetan cause directly or indirectly.
